Jasmine Stitch

Hey Crocheters! ✨ It’s Nadia here, the owner and creator of New Mom Spirit!

I’ve been crocheting for over two decades—yes, you read that right! I picked up my first hook and yarn when I was just seven years old, sitting next to my dear grandmother. She taught me how to knit, crochet, read patterns, and—most importantly—how to create something beautiful out of nothing.

She passed away just three days before my birthday this year, and I miss her every single day. But every stitch I make carries a piece of her love, wisdom, and creativity. And now, I want to share that with you.

Back then, I didn’t know the names of the stitches—I just followed the symbols and figured things out by sight. It took years for me to learn the proper names and techniques, but I never stopped creating.

I was told so many times that “craft can’t feed you” and “you can’t compete with big brands and machines.” But you know what? They were wrong.

And I’m here to prove it.

💖 If you love crochet, you CAN turn it into something bigger.
🧶 If you dream of mastering stitches, you WILL get there.
🚀 And I’m here to help you level up—from beginner to PRO.

So, let’s dive into today’s gorgeous stitch! 🎉

The Jasmine Stitch is an elegant, textured stitch that creates a beautiful floral effect, making it perfect for blankets, scarves, and delicate crochet projects. This stitch may take some practice, but once mastered, it becomes a rewarding and stunning addition to your crochet skills.

Materials & Tools

For this tutorial, I used the following materials, but feel free to experiment with different yarn weights and hook sizes:

  • Yarn: Any soft, medium-weight yarn (e.g., DK or worsted weight)
  • Hook: 4.5 mm crochet hook
  • Scissors
  • Darning needle

Always check the yarn label for the recommended hook size to achieve the best results.

Yarn Selection

The Jasmine Stitch looks stunning in solid colors to highlight its floral texture. You can also use variegated yarn for a more playful, blended effect. Choose a soft yarn with good drape for the best results.
